Springfield, the oldest town in Livingston Parish, is located on the Natalbany River near the Tickfaw River and Tickfaw State Park, offering camping, cabins, canoeing, and hiking. Rich in history dating back to the 18th century, it served as the parish seat from 1835 to 1872, with the old courthouse still standing.
